1. Call police (if you are the victim be the initiator of calling police).

2. Collect from the police representative a copy of the traffic accident report with the guilty party, insurance policy number, expiration date, and the issuer indicated. If you don’t understand the national language of the country where the traffic accident occurred during drawing of the police report or traffic accident note write “don’t understand the language” near your signature.

3. If you have a camera – take a few pictures of the accident place (in particular the damages to your vehicle).

4. If the accident consequences are minor, you may be offered to formalize the accident without police participation. In this case please be attentive when filling in the traffic accident statement. (The forms of traffic accident statements are identical all over the territory of the European Union, however they are printed in the national language of each country. For your convenience at the back of this supplement you will find the Ukrainian translation of the statement. If you don’t understand the national language of the country where the accident took place, you may complete it in Ukrainian). This statement must be supplemented with a detailed description of the accident and the list of damages to the vehicle as a result of this accident.

5. Call a representative of the insurance company of the person who caused the accident. If that is not possible, you must allow a representative of the car expertise or a accident commissioner to examine your vehicle.

6. Never give away the original copy of „Green Card”. It is sufficient to give the second leaf of „Green Card” (its copy), or a photocopy of the first leaf of „Green Card”, or enter into the policy report (accident statement) the number and expiration date of your „Green Card”.

7. Immediately notify IC GLOBUS about the fact and circumstance of the accident by telephone, and after return to Ukraine in writing. This includes application, exact data on the accident (date, place, circumstances of the accident, the list of participants, information on vehicle damages of the injured party) and a copy of the policy.

8. Please necessarily write down the coordinates of the other party of the accident and the number of its «Green Card»

Police of the country, where the accident occurred, has the right:

1. to take one copy of „Green Card” from you.

2. Draw a traffic accident report.

3. Fine you as the person responsible for traffic accident.

1. Vehicle owners in European countries must be insured against third party liability and they have an insurance policy.

2. If you are not in fault of the traffic accident, do not agree with fines since payment of a fine is acknowledgement of your fault.

3. When signing a traffic accident report or certificate please NECESSARILY indicate your innocence (you may write it in Ukrainian)

4. Your damages are compensated by the insurance company of the party in fault of the traffic accident.
